  1. Some thirty years ago an old man travelled around this locality. He used to spend the harvest and the springtime mostly in this district.
    His name was Tom Cassels and he was a big, robust looking man. He carried a bag of seed potatoes from the Queen's County to a place a mile from Clearistown. He could dance on a clay pipe without breaking it. He had a watch with a face on it as big as a large saucer and which he used to call "Aunt Biddy".
