    1. The "Shorefield" got its name by being all shored to take the water off it.
    2. The "Kilnfield" had a limekiln built on it to burn the lime to go on the land.
    3. The "Dryfield" got its name because it was in the habit of growing briars.
    4. The "Greenfield" got its name because it is always green - winter and summer.
    5. The "Knockfield" got its name because in years gone by furze used to be sown in parts of it for the purpose of feeding working horses.
    6. The Wellfield has a spring well.
