  1. The old people long ago used to make their own candles and soap.
    They spun the wool into yarns from which the woollen cloth was made.
    The farmers used to manufacture their candles. When the farmers killed a pig or a bullock, all the fat was cut out and melted in a pot or large pan. Into this the wicks were dipped to form the candles.
