  1. These are a few of the local beliefs with regard to the following :-
    "Sun, moon, stars, clouds, rainbows.
    The Sun when it is rising is for bad weather if is rises red and glowing.
    The moon if their is a circle around it, is for bad weather too, and the further away it is from the moon the further away the rain is from us. The stars if they are bright and shining are a sign of frost. The clouds when they are dark and heavy are a sign of rain.
    The rainbow is a sure sign of clear weather when it has finished raining
