- There is only one fair held in the district now. This fair is held in Wellington- Bridge. It is held on the last Friday of every month. Pigs and calves and cows and sheep, lambs, horses and ponies are sold. The fair is not as big as it used to be.Many people sell their animals at home. They sell horses and ponies calves and cows at home nearly always.Sheep are sometimes sold at home to buyers that go around buying those animals.Buyers came from Wales and other parts of Ireland to buy calves and sheep. When the buyer makes a bargain they hit their hands.
