  1. The Coolroe Eviction '89

    (I)
On the 6th September, we long will remember at the day on which all our prisoners did go to receive severe sentence for nobly defending the house of Tom Somers who lived in Coolroe.
    (II)
The streets with green laurels were all decorated
Two beautiful banners which the breezes did swell,
On the boards the likeness of the brave William Gladstone
The other of Davitt, O'Brien & Parnell.
    (III)

Green ferns and roses adorn their breasts
Their two horse waggonette, they are furiously driving
Whilst the New Ross Brass band followed on at their quest.
