    Saturday is no day at all.
    Long ago it was believe that if Barley was sowed after the twentieth of April it would be no good. They used to sow the potatoes in February. Onions are sowed on the shortest day of the year and pulled on the longest day of the year.
    If a person white-washed in May they would white-wash all the luck away. If a person swept out the house on the first day of May they would sweep all the luck away.
    It is said that the first day of April is the cross day of the year it is the wettest and coldest day of the year.
    Monday's child is fair of face,
    Tuesday's child is full of grace,
    Wednesday's child is loving and giving,
    Thursday's child must work hard for a living,
    Friday's child is full of woe,
    Saturday's child has far to go,
