  1. After the capture of Enniscorthy and the insurgents of Wexford, the insurgents were formed into two divisions and one under the command of Father John Murphy, returned towards the North of the country. They were joined by forces led by Father Philip Roche.

    He went into Wexford where he was immediately arrested and sentenced to death.
