    Oh cruel death, Oh (rentless?) dagger did the country stagger from end to end,
    You've left the orphans without a Father,
    And the evicted tenants without a friend
    When the land agitations confused the nations
    He took his station in freedoms (train?)
    He denounced those grabbing (?) in all his (?)
    Did Fr Murphy from (?)

    Dr (?), Walsh and Brogan for three months struggled his life to save,
    But those two diseases scarce (?) (?) until they take their victim to an (?)
    For some time he rallied and outward (sallied?),
    wrapt in his croyden for exercise
