  1. Once upon a time there was a boy whose name was Jack Morgan.
He was very fond of playing cards.
One night as he was going off to play cards he went through the fields.
    He saw a light.
He heard a vocie saying, "Who is this".
He heard someone else saying, "This is Jack Morgan".
He went over to the light. He saw a giant and a dog sitting down on a table playing cards.
The giant asked him to have a game of cards with him.
The giant told him if he won he would give him a purse of gold but if the giant won Jack would have to stay with him for his life.
    They began to play.
Jack was winning all the time and the giant said, "I am afraid I will have to give you my gold.".
The giant won and he said to Jack, "Now you will have to stay with me."
