  1. Once upon a time there was a man and he was going through some fields.
    As he was going along he heard a sound.
    He looked and he saw a little man sitting on a big stone.
    He wore a long pointed hat and shoes with long toes.
    He stole up behind him and caught hold of him.
    He said, "show me where your money is buried".
    The little man told him where it was. He showed him where to dig for the money.
    The man stuck down a stick so as to know where (to dig) he would begin to dig.
    The man went home for a shovel and a pick.
    When he came back (to where he) he went to where he put down the stick.
    And he saw that the leipreachán had stuck down one hundred and sixty
