- One day about 40 years ago, a man named Mr Brady Cranly, Edgeworthstown who was clamping turf in Cranly bog, he saw a little man behind a clamp of turf, he made a grab, and caught the man, he brought him home, and put him in a box, because he could not tell him where his gold was.
Then one morning as Mr Brady's wife had the eggs boiled for the breakfast she threw out the water, suddenly the little man cried out "If you knew the value of that you would not have thrown it out.
Mrs Brady was astonished, but now the water was thrown out.
Then one day Mr Brady was giving the little man a drink. But "alas" he jumped out and away with him.- Collector
