    It is said that when Our Lord was dying and when the blood from the pricks of the thorns was flowing in to his eyes that a Robin came and wiped it off with his breast and that is how the robin got his red breast.

    When our Lord was riding into Jerusalom on palm Sunday and after the people were throwing palm branches under the feet of the ass he was riding and Shouting "Hoasanna in the Higest. He drew his finger on the Ass's back and he made a cross on it and on every ass's back to the present day there is a cross.
