  1. The wren builds its nest in a bush. It is covered over except for a little hole in the side. It lays 23 grey eggs. The nest is made of moss.
    The blackbird builds its nest in a bush and is shaped like a bowl withe top open. It lays 6 blue eggs. The nest is made of moss and hair inside.
    The Thrush builds its nest in a bush also. It is made of hair and moss and is similar to a blackbird. It lays 6 or 7 brown eggs & hatches them for a fortnight.
    The Robin builds it nest in a bush also or in a ditch where there is a hole. The entrance is on the side. It lays its eggs 8 in number hatches them and rears them till big.
    The stairs build their nests under the eaves of a house.
    The wood quest builds its nest in the top of a tree. It lays an egg like a hens (white) only not so large.
    The jackdaw builds its nest in a chimney pot and people put wires across the chimneys in order to keep them from stuffing it and in case in case it would take fire.
    The magpie builds its nest in a tree.
    The pheasant builds its nest on the ground.
    The water duck builds its nest in a bog. It lays white speckled eggs.
    The snipe builds its nest in a bog.
    The crane builds its nest in a swamp.
