  1. It is the sign of rain when the smoke falls towards the ground and the clouds are black.
    Rays come from the sun, and a yellow halo around the moon, there is also a rain-bow of different colours in the sky. It is the sign of a storm to see a cat sitting with her back to the fire and when the wind whistles through the keyhole. It is the sign of good weather when the smoke goes up straight. It is also a sign to see the sun going down very red in the west. When it is going to rain the glass is low and when we are going to have good weather the glass is high.
    A rain-bow at night is the shepherds delight
    A rain-bow in the morning is the Shepherds warning
