  1. There is a well in Whitehall which is said to cure "warts". The conditions are:- Go to the well on a Summer's morning at six o'clock. Knell down beside the well and say three "Our Fathers" and "Three Hail Marys". When finished, gather a handful of stones and cast them one by one into the well. Then dip your fingers into the well and touch the affected part of the hand with them. When you reach home the warts will have vanished.
