There is a well in Derrydare and it is called Lady Well.

There is a well in Derrydare and it is called Lady Well. Our Lady was supposed to wash her hand and feet in the stream. There is a big bush growing beside the well and when the people come to do Stations they hang pictures or flowers on this bush. Large numbers of people come to do the stations and pray from 15th August to 8th September. On that day a great crowd used to gather and have a lot of sport until there was a man killed at it and it was prevented. Many people get their requests by praying at the well.
