  1. The Bean Sidhe was very common long ago. Some years ago a woman was dying in this district. She told her people that there was no fear of her death until they would hear the Bean Sidhe. There was a neighbour man whose mother was seeing the sick woman. The man went to meet his mother at night. When he was going along the ditch the Beán Sidhe began to cry inside the ditch. She was a little woman dressed in white. The sick woman died that night. The man who saw the Beán Sidhe is 92 years old now. His name is John Boylan.
