  1. About forty years ago four sisters named Barry went out to bathe in Annagh Lough. One of the girls was married. Nearby Willie Mulligan was building a house and he heard the girls calling for help and he ran to assist them. He rescued one of them and the other three were drowned. He married the one he rescued.
