  1. Tales are told about the Mass in the vicinity of Moyne by the old people who say they heard their grandparents telling them.
One fact is that we had no chapel in Moyne in the olden days, instead Mass was read on Dromard Rocks.
The priest lodged in a house about three miles distant from the "Rocks" and proceeded there to read Mass every Sunday. The people for miles around attended. A beaten passway can still be traced from Moyne X roads across the fields to Dromard Rocks, a distance of a couple of miles. This passway was used by the people attending Mass long ago. After a time was built what the old people speak of as "the old chapel". A lone bush now marks the remains of what was once the chapel.
