  1. One night William Carthy was coming home of his ceilidhe. He was coming near a gate when he heard great rattling of chains.
He went to the gate and he saw a great big man standing there. He had his hand on the latch of the gate. William put his hand on the man's hand but found nothing only the latch of the gate. He opened the gate and went out through the man but never moved him. He looked into the man's face and the man never moved. When he went past he heard the piers falling and the gate being beaten.
