- Long ago the weather was very severe. Sometimes cattle were lost in the thunder storms, also some people were killed There was damage done to houses, especially out houses, by the wind & rain, & some trees died which were struck with lightning have died.
During a snowfall it was dangerous to go about because of drifts in which some of the animals were lost.
