  1. There are not many local cures that I know of.
    There is a woman in the village of Ballinalee she is Mrs Robinson who has a cure for a whitlow. She outs on a plaster which takes out the drop of blood. There is another one if you had a stye in your eye - point a thorn at 3 times.
