    Proverbs
    I know many proverbs which the old people said. If Candlemas Day be bright and clear you'll have two winters the one year.
    This means that if the 2nd February is bright and sunny that the rest of the year will be wet and cold.
    Saturday's flitting means a short sitting.
    This means if a man changes from one house to the other on Saturday he will not stay there long.
    One swallow makes no summer.
    It means that if there are not many swallows seen in April that it will be a bad summer.
    Quick to promise but slow to perform.
    This mean when a person promises a thing they
