    Charm of the Thorn
    To extract it from the hand or foot. The person that has the cure pounds dandelions, thistles and sprouts of white-thorn together and saying a special prayer while doing so. This cure never failed. It would also take out bits of needles

    Warts
    Persons with warts went to a holy well and rubbed the water to the warts. They then stuck a small stick with a rag on it in a hole on the side well.
    Another way to cure warts was to rub a black snail to the warts and then stick the snail on the sharp thorn of a whin bush.

    Another cure for warts is to dissovle washing soda in hot water and bathe the affected parts nine times.
