  1. Nancy's son was courting a girl, but the girl was untrue, and was keeping another young man's company. This young man was called Finnegan. One night soon after the boy's drowning the girl was meeting Finnegan beside J. Kiernan's gate now. Suddenly this boy appeared with a light stick in his hand. no sooner did the girl see him than off with her, and never after was she seen either meeting or talking to Finnegan.
