  1. Here I lay me down to sleep
I pray to God my Soul to keep
And if I chance to die before I wake
I pray to God my Soul to take
There are four angels on my bed
There are four angels o're my Spread
And Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God blessed the bed that they lay on
    Heart of Jesus I adore
    Heart of Mary I implore
Heart of Joseph pure and just
And in these three Hearts I put my trust.
I offer a Pater and Ave in honour of the Great God and His Blessed Mother and to all the angels and Saints to Save us from Sickness and disorder of the year from a Sudden and improvided death and from the hands of our enemies both Soul and body.
    Infant Jesus meek and mild
Look on me a little child
    Pity mine and pity me
And suffer me to come to Thee.
