In the olden times the people used very uncommonly cures such as;- Anybody who never saw their Father has the cure of the whooping caugh, if anybody who is bad with the whooping caugh meets a man with a piebald horse and ask him for a cure, anything he says will cure them. Anybody who has their parents the same name has the cure of the mumps.
    They put a winkers on you and lead you in to the pig-house. If there are seven sons in a family the seventh has the cure of the Running worm.
