  1. There was a bell in Colmcille church in the Penal times and it was stolen by the Protestants two or three times and it used to come back ringing in the air and was called the ringing bell. In Carrickathane there is a mass rock. It is supposed that mass was said there in the Penal times. There is a cave in Edenmore hill and priests used to hide in it in penal times.
    There is an old lane in Drumberg and is called the mass lane, for mass used to be said there in the Penal times.
