  1. Some years ago there lived a man in Drummerkane whose name was McLavery and for some years his house was haunted by a ghost.
    Every evening after sunset the doors of the house would be flung open and when the family would go to bed there would start a terrible noise and all the delph would seem to be knocked and smashed and everything in the house broken.
    Neighbouring people used to come and stop for a night and they would hear the same noise. So the owner of the house went to the priest and told him.
    One evening he came and read for a long time. And then left. He came again a
