    One old woman in my townland told me a story about the famine times.
    She said her grandfather was going to the fair in Galway and he went to a house on the top of a hill to light his pipe.
    When he went to the door, there was a man sitting over three turf on the hearthstone. There were three people lying in a straw bed along the wall.
    He did not like to go in and he turned and went away.
    The man called him and told him to light his pipe that there was nothing wrong with the three people in
