  1. I live in the townland of Aughamore and in the Parish of Colmcille and the Barony of Longford.
    There are fifteen families in my townland and about seventy five people.
    The family name most common in my townland is Donohoe.
    In former times the houses were mostly all thatched but in recent years they are all nearly slated.
    There are seven old people over seventy living in my townland, none of these people know Irish nor can tell stories in Irish. Houses were more numerous in former times, but now only some of the old ruins are left. The land is hilly and good.
