  1. There was once a woman who lived in an old cabin beside a bog near Columbcille Church, near Granard, Longford. This woman was about sixty years of age and every night she went to steal turf in the bog and off she went next morning to receive Communion without going to Confession and without fasting.
    Someone told the parish priest concerning the behaviour of this woman and one night he visited the house and asked her was she going to Communion the next morning and she said she was.
    He then asked her when she was Confession last and she said last Easter
