  1. I live in the townland of Soran, in the parish of Killoe, and in the barony of Aughaboy. I heard these customs from my uncle. They were very common in olden times but they are not common nowadays.
    One night around Hallow Eve there were two men making a cart. They heard a faint noise and when they looked under the cart they saw a fairy making a wooden shoe.
    There was a man going to a fair and under an ash bush he saw a party of fairies. They were playing "hide and go seek" round
