  1. One day the Blessed Virgin was passing by a house. She was very hungry and finding the smell of cooking meat, she entered and asked for some food. The woman of the house covered the meat and said she had no food to give. The Blessed Virgin accepted the refusal meekly and departed. When she had gone, the woman took the cover off the meat.
    Instead of the pieces of meat, out jumped rats and mice. This was the first time
