  1. Our churn holds about fifteen gallons. It is a round churn and it is wide at the top. It is about twelve years old. Butter is made about three times each week. When churning is going to be done first scald and wash the churn dash and lid. Then damp the churn with cold water. Then take the degree of the milk that is to be churned. The milk has to be sixty degrees or less. Put the milk into the churn and put in the dash. There is a whole in the centre of
