    reduce swelling. Sweet milk in which lichen has been boiled is taken to cure kidney trouble or gravel in children. Dock-weed is applied to stings as a means of deadening the pain. There are certain beverages made from herbs. Dandelion and peppermint are pulled and dried by leaving them in the sun. There leaves dried in this manner are then used as tea. Another extract of dandelion is dandelion wine. Both dandelion and peppermint grown wild in pasture land. Lichen is by nature parasitical and grows on mossy banks and ditches. Chick-weed generally grows in tilled land.
