  1. There are many kinds of useful herbs to be found growing in profusion in the fields and by the hedges. A mixture of crushed stan lus and unsalted butter is used to heal wounds. There are many ways of cleansing and drawing sores. Heated plantain leaves or ivy leaves are applied to sores for this purpose. Another application often resorted to is a poultice made with water in which a certain herb known as Rose Noble has been boiled Baked or roasted.
