  1. Once there was a woman named Brigid Colum who lived in Lettergullin. She had a daughter married in Gaigue. One day she went to visit her and when she was going home she brought her daughter's daughter with her. They had to go throug a field called Cornawn Bawn on their way home. When they went into Cornawn Bawn they had to walk for hours and could not get out of it. They sat down and the old woman said "I would be all right if I had a coal to light my pipe" and at that moment she saw a fire. Then she told the little girl to get her a coal and she got it. Then she lit her pipe and left back the coal but
