  1. Long ago the people used to billet the rats from their houses. The place they would send them would want to be better than the place they were. They would write down on a bit of paper the place to send them to. The old rat would take the paper in his mouth and every one of the rest would follow him. They went in flocks like a crowd of geese. A man named John 1 Quinn of Lettergonnell had the power of billeting rats.
