  1. Long ago there was an old road down through Patrick Devines fields of Lettergonnell and away down through Castlebawn. That is the way that the people used to go Long ago to Ballinalee for their good and to Mass. It started from the long lane and came out at the Gleann Hill on the road to Ballinalee.
