  1. About sixty years ago when my grandfather was going to school they used to play hurley. They made their own hurleys out of black sallies on white thorn. They made the ball out of corks and goats skin and sometimes they made it out of wool. There were no rules and they could play as many as they liked each side. When the game was over they would wrestle and they could only catch each other by the cabe of collar of the coat
