    The following is a list of signs of the weather which I heard from Patrick MacHugh, Cartron, Drumlish, age 64 years.
    When there is a ring around the moon it is a sign of rain.
    When the sky is cloudy it is a sign of rain also.
    When there are streamers from the sun it is a sign of rain.
    When the stars are very bright it is a sign of frost.
    When you can see your breath it is also a sign of frost.
    If there is a heavy fog on a Summers morning it is a sign of good weather.
    When the wind is blowing from the North it is a sign of snow.
    When the swallows are flying low it is a sign of rain.
    When the ashes is blue it is a sign of storm.
