    These lofts were also used in time of rebellion for hiding arms.
    The people who built these houses never used the implements used now. They went by their own measurements and did not use or specifications. That is why they were so irregular. But they were remarkable for the hardy and healthy people who lived in them after all. In some places a lean to bedroom at the back wall was built of undressed stones.
