  1. An Apparition in the Form of a White Cow
Tom Doyle, a boy of about 20 years old saw on the roadside at the bridge which joins Creenagh and Leitrim in the parish of Clongesh a white cow which he thought was his own. But on looking into his own field which is beside the bridge he saw his own white cow feeding quietly.
The one on the bridge resembled her very much and was eating the grass by the roadside. But he knew there ws not a second white cow in the whole country around. So he went up to his home and asked his mother to come to see the white cow at the bridge. his mother came out along with him, but although Tom could see the cow plainly, the mother could see her own white cow only in the field.
Tom tried to bring his mother near the bridge but she became terrified and ran back into her house.
No strange white cow was seen or heard of in the district afterwards; so that must have been an apparition.
The above happened two years ago.
