The nearest old castle to me is situated in Bawn, a townland in the Parish of Killoe.

The nearest old castle to me is situated in Bawn, a townland in the Parish of Killoe. The ruins if it are to be seen yet.
There are several stories about this old castle. One time men went to rob this castle and a barrel followed them for a long journey and it was nearly rolling over them. Another time a man gave cattle hay in it after it fell and a great wind arose and blew the hay away.
