  1. Once there was a man living in Killeeny and he had two dogs, so he lost the dogs and of course he thought it was what they were stolen, and instead it was what they went into the cave and was there for days, and one night when he was playing the fiddle in the parlour he heard the dogs barking under him and he went out and played down as far as the cave which was about 50 perch from the house and out came the two dogs safe and sound.
