  1. Once there was a nice spring well in this parish and it moved twice in memory as the people ungratefully interfered with it upon two occasions. First it moved across the road and secondly it moved into a river. After some time the neighbours kindly gathered and put a nice cement wall around it, and it is nicely kept and supplies many families with nice clean fresh water when other wells fail. It is supposed to be the best spring well in Ireland.
