    Whit week was unlucky because there were many accidents and people killed in that week. No person would begin to plough on Saturday. They said it was an unlucky day. They said it was lucky to begin on Monday to build houses. The people always plant their early crops on Good Friday. They say it is a very lucky day. They used to say that Whit Sunday, Whit Monday and Whit Tuesday were the "Cross Days".
