rain. When the wind is blowing from the South it also denotes rain. When stars are falling it is a sign of rain.
When the sun sets red it is a sign of good weather. When the wind is blowing from the east we may expect good weather.
When the wind is coming from the North it is a sign of frost. If it is freezing before "New Moon" we are sure of hard frost at "Full Moon".

  2. The signs of rain on the land are:- bones of old people or people with rheumatism begin to get painful. Dogs cease eating bones and begin to eat grass. We can know rain is near when we see shadows of trees on an island in the surrounding water.
Distant hills and trees seem nearer than usual. Frogs change their colour to dark brown.
